DS Group aims 45% growth
Delhi-based Rs 1,200 crore DS Group aims to post a 45 per cent growth in its revenue to Rs 650 crore next year from Rs 450 crore this year a growth of nearly 45 per cent) by expanding its product portfolio in the FMCG category.
For starters, the company will introduce juices and soft drinks under the Catch brand. It will launch nimbu paani drink under the brand. Also, it plans to expand into ready-to-drink category by launching the recently introduced jaljeera in this format
In beverages, the company is scouting for new spring sources for its mineral water and flavoured spring water and expand its cola brand to include new variants.
"The expansion in FMCG will focus mainly on introduction of new products. Re-search and development plays a key role in this. We have a well established R&D wing," says Rajiv Kumar, managing director. DS Group,
With a view to capture a bigger share in the spices market, DS Group is planning to add more blended spices and organic spices to its basket.The company is also adding 'garlic salt' variant to its salt shakers category which includes plain salt, pepper, rock salt and chaat masalas.
It also plans to roll out more products from its new manufacturing unit at Guwa-hati under the flagship brand Catch. The manufacturing unit which introduced products like Catch's jaljeera would help the company establish itself in the eastern market. The company also plans to expand its distribution network for a better outreach in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
