Dharampal Premchand Limited launched their steel Cold Rolled sheets, Galvanized Corrugated, Plain sheets and Cold Rolled closed Anneated (CRCA) sheets formally today manufactured by the steel division of this organization here today. This is the largest steel plant in the North-East region with Rs. 250 crore with a capacity of one lakh. fifty thousand tons per annum.
Announcing the launching of the production. Mr. R.K. Kakrania, Director said that despite of various constrains and infrastructural challenged we managed to set the plant here and accordingly the first phase completed successfully and the products rolling.

He also said that the project started in the year 2004 and completed in five years. The project, which is also the largest steel plant all over the north-east region built keeping in mind to keep atmosphere pollution free and to reduce the power consumption. All the production of the plant manufactured here fully automated using digital computerized controls.

He also said that the primary roofing materials used in the North-East is Galvanized sheets. The project has been designed to cater the special needs of this market preliminary stage. CRCA sheets produced here would be used by the local industry in the production of Almirahs, Panels, Grain Storage Bins, Barrels and many other things. In near future they will export these production in other countries or in the state and Bangladesh can lead a vital role for this purpose. Moreover, the project will be able to generate employment for the youths of the state as well as will strengthen the state economically.

Mr. K.K. Basu senior General Manager of the plant explained about the advantages of steel products of this plant. He said the products will be super rigidity and durability absolute rust preventive, non-combustible, leak proof and impermeable, shock and impact resistant. Moreover, these will be versatile and economically profitable.

It may be mentioned here that Dharampal Premchand group is very reknow company all over the state and they have many glory in various sectors of industry. They have many offices also all over the country like Gauwahati, Kolkata, Bangladesh and they are also running different projects in the state on rubber woods.

Baba Zarda, which is very famous for tobacco manufacturing in our state, also another successful wing of this organization. So it can say that in the industrial sector the state has achieved another glorious success. Mr.S.K.S. Narayan, Director of steel, Mr.A.K.Sarkar, President, Mr.Redhey Mohan, General Manager of Corporate office were also present in the programme which was held in the factory premises today.
